(KSL News) Prosecutors have charged a Salt Lake City man with attempted murder after he allegedly attacked the mother of his children with a sword.
Police say the victim let Leonardo Sagredo, 36, into her home near 1100 South and 900 West on Tuesday for a holiday visit with their children.
Then Sagredo allegedly used a file in the kitchen to sharpen a sword and attacked the victim.
Sagredo also faces domestic violence charges.
