HOME — Household chores are generally an inescapable part of life.

There's quite the range of feelings when it comes to performing household tasks, from those who truly enjoy the experience to those who would rather stub their toe really hard every day than clean one square inch of anything.

That's an extreme scale, but most people seem to land in the middle of accepting and doing chores as just a part of life ... except for that one particular chore they absolutely loathe. (I bet you zero dollars that you just got a little mad about your loathed chore).

If you have kids, sometimes it's a chore in and of itself to get those wee ones to do their assigned chores. But there's one resource you may have in your home that you may not have tapped yet — your pets.

Not every pet is up to the task of helping around the house, and the choice of chore is limited without opposable thumbs, but it's not impossible. Example: At least one family has a cat that "helps" with the laundry by ensuring every piece of clothing gets into the laundry basket.

The video shows an energetic older kitten earning its keep in the home. As laundry gets tossed toward the basket, the kitten jumps up to grab each piece of laundry to ensure it finds its rightful place in the basket.

OK, so the only real way the cat is helping is making laundry a fun, exciting game and not actually doing any part of the actual chore, but it still counts as helping.

The real point is that this video is fun, funny and entertaining in a way that only cats can be. And maybe if laundry is the chore you loathe, this will help you feel at least 1% better about it.
