SALT LAKE CITY (AP/KSL News) -- A storm packing wind, rain and snow is moving across Utah today.
Residents along the Wasatch Front are dealing with cold, wet weather this morning. Today's high temperatures are expected to reach the 50s -- the lows in the 40s.
Meanwhile, the mountains are getting hit with snow. The fall colors were hardly visible with snow coming down all morning and that is expected throughout the day.
The National Weather Service has issued a snow advisory for the mountains along the Wasatch Front, the Uinta mountains and the Book Cliffs. It will remain in effect until six o'clock tonight.
The weather service says the mountains are expected to accumulate between two and six inches of snow today.
Up at Snowbird, the snow has made ongoing construction difficult, but we are told there are only minor setbacks.
Snowbird officials say Oktoberfest event will continue rain or shine, even though it's been hit or miss with the crews in light of the weather.
Snowbird is not scheduled to open until November 18th.
More rain and colder temperatures are also expected tomorrow and Friday.
