SALT LAKE CITY — Representatives of legendary singer-songwriter Jimmy Buffett announced Tuesday that his Oct. 10 show scheduled at Vivint Arena is one of five shows that are now canceled as a result of "health issues," including a brief hospitalization.
"Jimmy will need to refrain from touring for the rest of the year," they wrote in a statement. "On doctor's orders, he must take this time to recuperate and heal. Jimmy looks forward to getting back on stage next spring."

Buffett, 75, was also scheduled to play twice in Las Vegas, along with stops in San Diego and Nampa, Idaho, in October. The two Las Vegas shows have been rescheduled for March 2023, while the San Diego performance will be moved to sometime in 2023. The Utah and Idaho shows will not be rescheduled.
All tickets purchased for the Salt Lake City concert will be refunded. Vivint Arena staff members wrote that all refunds will be "automatically processed to the original method of payment" and no further action is required by anyone who purchased tickets.
Buffett last performed in Wisconsin on Aug. 20, which was one of several stops he has made on his "Life on the Flip Side Redux" tour. He had promoted the five canceled or rescheduled shows as the last leg of the tour as recently as Sept. 10. No details were provided about what caused his hospitalization.
He has made a few stops in Utah over the years, last performing at Vivint Arena in 2018.
