(KSL News) -- Papers the FBI seized while arresting polygamist leader Warren Jeffs could hold information about the secretive business interests involving the Fundamentalist LDS Church, its leaders and the 110 million dollar United Effort Plan Trust.

The Deseret Morning News is reporting the court appointed fudiciary of the UEP trust, believes the papers hold the "motherlode" of information he needs to recover trust property.

He filed a series of court motions in Salt Lake and Las Vegas asking to see the papers and laptop computers.

Jeffs' lawyers say the documents include confidential religious writings and teaching of the FLDS church, as well as privileged communications with FLDS members.

Jeffs' lawyers have filed an emergency motion in Las Vegas demanding the FBI return the papers because they are protected by his right to religious freedom.

Jeffs remains in Utah's Purgatory jail without bail.
