SALT LAKE CITY — One person was killed and a teenager was seriously injured in separate auto-pedestrian crashes in Salt Lake City Wednesday morning, officials said.
The fatal crash happened early Wednesday near 700 West and 2100 South, according to UHP Sgt. Cameron Rhoden. He said the person appeared to have been walking south on 700 West when they were hit.
A fatal auto-pedestrian crash on EB 2100 South near 700 West has 2-right lanes blocked. Expect the lanes to remain closed for several hours which will cause delays between 900 West and I-15.

Two of the four lanes of traffic were closed temporarily due to the incident.
The other crash happened near 2100 North and the I-215 west off ramp. A 15-year-old girl was hit and seriously injured, Rhoden said.
No other details about the crashes were immediately available.
