SARATOGA SPRINGS — A woman was transported to the hospital via medical helicopter in critical condition Monday after her minivan collided with a semitruck.
The crash happened around 5:30 p.m. at the intersection of Pioneer Crossing and Riverside Drive. Saratoga Springs police said it "appears that the minivan failed to yield at the intersection," but the cause is still under investigation.
The injured woman, who is in her early 20s, was wearing a seat belt, police said.
The eastbound right lanes and the westbound to southbound lanes were closed in the area while police conducted their investigation, but have been reopened.
