Census shows Utah's richest, poorest cities

Census numbers revealed South Jordan has the state's highest median household income at just over $85,000. The city also carries the lowest poverty rate at just 1.5 percent.

On the other end of the economic spectrum, South Salt Lake has the state's lowest income at just less than $32,000 a household.

The census reveals Provo has the highest poverty rate in the state at 31 percent. That's nearly one in three people living below the poverty line there.
