1. 2 kids injured after being hit by car while trick-or-treating in Taylorsville

Two children were taken to the hospital after they were hit by a car while trick-or-treating Saturday in Taylorsville, police said. Four children in their early teens were crossing at a crosswalk at 2700 W. Matterhorn Dr. around 7 p.m. when a southbound car struck at least two of the children. One child was listed in critical condition and another is in extreme critical, or life-threatening, condition Saturday night.

2. Provo sex offender opened door nude, invited trick-or-treaters inside, police say

A convicted sex offender was arrested Saturday evening after police say he answered the door of his Provo home naked and invited trick-or-treating children inside.

3. 1 dead, 1 seriously injured after suspected DUI crash in Orem

One person is dead and another seriously injured after their vehicle was hit by a truck while stopped in the emergency lane on I-15 in Utah County early Sunday morning.

4. 1 adult killed, 1 child injured in a crash on I-15 near Farmington

One adult died and one child was injured in a crash Sunday on I-15 near Farmington, police said. The crash closed the southbound lanes of the freeway at Legacy Parkway for nearly three hours.

5. 1 dead, others seriously injured after fiery crash in Grand County

One person died and others were seriously injured after a fiery crash involving two vehicles early Sunday morning near the Utah-Colorado border in Grand County, the Utah Highway Patrol said.

Tyler Allgeier rumbled to a career-high 266 yards and five touchdowns, Jaren Hall added 349 yards passing and four more scores, and the 25th-ranked Cougars jumped out to a fast start before surviving a shootout 66-49 Saturday night at LaVell Edwards Stadium.

2. Tavion Thomas totals 4 TDs as Utes take sole possession of South in win

Thomas rumbled to 160 yards and four touchdowns en route to a 44-24 win over the Bruins. His third score of the night came on a 10-yard rush that was helped by offensive lineman Sataoa Laumea pancaking a UCLA (5-4, 3-3) defender to open up a clean hole for Thomas to run through to the end zone, and the Utes never looked back.

3. Utah State dominates Hawaii to earn bowl eligibility

The Utah State offense and defense have both shined in moments this season, but have struggled to consistently play well at the same time. The result? A lot of close games — the majority of which the Aggies have found a way to win.

4. Jazz end road trip with 107-95 win over defending champs

A day after the Jazz suffered their first loss of the season as Mike Conley sat on the bench, the veteran point guard provided his usual calming presence (not to mention 20 points) as the Jazz beat the defending champion Bucks 107-95 Sunday in Milwaukee.

5. Shaheed makes history, leads Wildcats in win over Idaho State

After tying the record with Hampton's Jerome Mathis for career kickoff touchdown returns in the first game of the season against Utah at six, it was only a matter of time before Shaheed got another opportunity to return the ball and break the record to stand alone in the FCS history books for the most all-time kickoff return touchdowns.
