Finding a great deal on airline tickets can make anyone's day, but booking a quick getaway for a ridiculously low price is everyone's dream. Starting this fall, that dream is about to become a reality for Utahns all over the state.

Perhaps you've heard about Avelo Airlines, the company that started offering flights under $50 to Los Angeles from Ogden earlier this year. And if you missed this article from KSL, you might be wondering if this sounds too good to be true.

Well, not only are the unbeatable rates real, there's even better news: Avelo is expanding their service to include flights out of Provo later in the year. This means no matter where you live in northern Utah, you're about to have easy access to affordable flights to California.

What you can expect when you fly with Avelo Airlines

These days, even if you do happen to snag a great deal on a commercial flight, chances are you'll be hit with hidden fees and other multiple connecting flights that negate your savings. With Avelo airlines, you don't have to worry about that. The company prides itself on letting you have a smoother travel experience while spending less—so that you can travel more!

Besides saving money with their always low fares, Avelo's smaller airports mean a shorter commute, cheaper parking, shorter walks to your gate, and briefer taxiing times on the runway. Plus, the on-time, nonstop flights get you where you're going faster without the hassle and headaches of the bigger hubs. And with a free personal item allowed and a low cost to check bags, you'll be hard-pressed to find a more pleasant travel experience.

Another thing you won't have to worry about? Rude flight attendants. Avelo only hires crew members who have a "soul of service," so you can expect the very best when it comes to customer care. In fact, one Business Insider writer who flew on the airline's inaugural flight commented that "all of Avelo's in-flight crew were happy, smiling, and genuinely friendly."

And while short flights and smaller airlines don't typically include snack and beverage services, Avelo offers what's called a "convenience package." You get a sealed package with a Purell wipe, an 8-oz. bottle of Niagara water, and a Lorna Doone shortbread cookie. (Not bad for a flight that lasts less than two hours.)

Arrive at Los Angeles' most convenient airport

If you've ever flown in or out of the Los Angeles International Airport (LAX) you're probably familiar with how frustrating it can be. LAX is notorious for bad customer service, traffic congestion, and a bad layout, according to Frommers. (On their list of the worst airports in the country, LAX was No. 3.)

Instead of LAX, Avelo Airlines flies directly into the Hollywood Burbank Airport, which will conveniently place you within minutes of L.A.'s must-see places. Hollywood Burbank is closer to Griffith Park, Universal Studios Hollywood, Hollywood, and Downtown Los Angeles than LAX. It is the only airport in the area with a direct rail connection to Downtown and, from there, all over California.

And when it comes to departing from Burbank, that's easy as well. With smaller crowds, shorter walks to your gate, and a brief taxiing time, the whole process is as stress-free as possible.

Travel with confidence

If you're worried about health concerns during pandemic travel, rest assured that Avelo takes every precaution to ensure your safety. They thoroughly clean and disinfect the airplane and require face masks. If you change your mind about flying for any reason, Avelo doesn't charge fees to change your dates or cancel your trip.
