MARRIOTT-SLATERVILLE, Weber County — A bicyclist died when she was hit by a semitruck at an intersection in Marriott-Slaterville Thursday morning, officials said.

Just before 8:30 a.m., the semitruck with a trailer had stopped near 400 North while preparing to turn right onto southbound state Route 126, according to the Utah Department of Public Safety. The bicyclist approached the right side of the semitruck and was hit by the tires of the trailer as the semi turned right.

The cyclist died from her injuries. She was identified Friday evening as Jana Lee Taylor Wangsgard, according to Utah Highway Patrol.
