SANDY — An employee at a foot massage clinic in Sandy recently convicted by a jury of sexually abusing three clients is now facing new criminal charges after prosecutors say they identified a fourth victim.

Hong Guang Lin, 63, of Sandy, was charged Friday in 3rd District Court with attempted forcible sexual abuse, a third-degree felony, and sexual solicitation, a class A misdemeanor.

On June 3, Lin was convicted in a separate case of rape, a first-degree felony; two counts of forcible sexual abuse, a second-degree felony; and unlawful massage practices, a class A misdemeanor.

In that case, three women went to the Foot Relax Center, 9449 S. 700 East, for foot massages on separate occasions in 2020. Lin inappropriately touched each woman under the guise of giving them full-body massages and asked each woman if they wanted to have sex, charging documents state.

In his new charges, Lin is again accused of offering a full-body massage to a woman who had come to the business for a foot massage. At one point, as Lin was massaging the woman "erratically," he jumped onto the massage table, began kissing her and told her he could do "more special things," the charges allege. Prosecutors say the incident happened in August, two days before one of the women Lin was recently convicted of assaulting went to the business.

Lin is scheduled to be sentenced in the first case on July 13.
