SALT LAKE CITY — Roads have reopened and trains are running again after a fire in Salt Lake City on Tuesday morning.
The fire began shortly before 7 a.m. at a commercial building near 1625 W. North Temple, according to Salt Lake Fire Department officials. Flames and smoke could be seen going up from the building in the area.
Fire crews were able to control the blaze without any injuries, according to the fire department.

The building, which was previously a Chinese restaurant, was boarded up before the fire, but partially collapsed during the fire, according to Salt Lake City Fire Department Battalion Chief Dan Walker. About 25-30 firefighters were at the scene Tuesday morning, but the cause of the fire is still unknown, he said.
Eastbound lanes of North Temple were closed at Redwood Road due to the fire but have since reopened.
A bus bridge was in place for the TRAX green line train between the Fairpark and Airport stations because trains were unable to proceed through the area while crews fought the fire, according to the Utah Transit Authority. The bus bridge was lifted shortly before 9 a.m. and trains are now moving through the area, UTA said.
