OREM — Authorities in Utah County say when an Orem man was arrested, police not only found numerous images of child pornography but a disturbing sex toy that appeared to be the size of a child.
James Randall Adams, 51, of Orem, was charged Tuesday in 4th District Court with 10 counts of sexual exploitation of a minor, a second-degree felony.
After the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children received a tip that possible child pornography was being downloaded to a phone traced to Adams, a search warrant was served on his home on Feb. 11, according to charging documents.
A search of Adams' phone revealed a folder entitled "Little" in which images of child pornography were found, the charges state.
"There are a total of 62,381 images on the phone and 738 videos and it appeared that the majority are pornography including children," according to the charges.
Investigators also found "an adult female mannequin and a bound child mannequin that appeared to be used as sex dolls," the charges state.
Prosecutors have requested that Adams be held without bail.
Editor's note: A previous version included a couple of references of Adams' last name as Bonner. That has been updated.
