The crash was first reported just after 3 p.m. on state Route 193, also known as 3000 North, at Fairfield Road, according to the Utah Department of Transportation.
Layton Police Department Lt. Travis Lyman said that just before 3 p.m. an eastbound car collided with a truck turning left while traveling southbound on Fairfield.
Four vehicles were involved but only two were on the scene, police said.
At 3 p.m. the eastbound lanes of Route 193 were closed but as of 4:30 p.m. one lane of eastbound traffic is open at Route 193 and Fairfield Road, UDOT said.
