RIVERSIDE, Calif. (AP) -- Aaron Scott scored 20 points to lead UC Riverside to a 67-63 victory over Southern Utah on Saturday.
Brandon Dowdy added 16 points and Javon Borum 14 for Riverside (5-2), which has five consecutive home wins, its longest streak since moving to Division I seven seasons ago.
Dave Marek and Tyler Quinney had 14 points each and Davis Baker added 13 to lead Southern Utah (3-5).
Riverside broke open a close game with a 13-9 run over the last four minutes, limiting the Thunderbirds to one field goal in that stretch.
The Highlanders, who had made just 40 percent of their shots coming in, made 53 percent Saturday, including 68 percent in the second half.
