ST. GEORGE — Multiple businesses were trying to get to the bottom of break-ins that took place around the Christmas holiday.

At Studio 359, owner Katie Reeder said burglars stole as much as $20,000 in product and stylist equipment.

"It was definitely shocking — not what you want to hear on Christmas Day," Reeder said Monday. "Everything was gone."

Surveillance video shared by the business showed one of the burglars removing money from the till.

Reeder said it appeared the thieves were a man and woman who arrived in a U-Haul truck with Arizona plates and signage on the side that included snakes.

"You're so angry about it and emotional," Reeder said. "It's a personal thing and your business and your livelihood."

At least two other businesses in the city also posted on Facebook about burglary attempts over the Christmas holiday. Prime IV Hydration & Wellness reported that it had $6,000 in medical supplies taken, while Main Street Antiques noted someone attempted to break in through the front door.

St. George police did not immediately respond to requests for additional information Monday.

Reeder said she was heartened by offers from the community to provide shears and money to the affected stylists. She said vendors were also doing what they could to help restock the salon with products.

Still, she said she couldn't understand why someone would do such a thing.

"It just feels very violating and it's just unsettling," Reeder said.
