(KSL News) -- In celebration of Constitution Day, a reading of the constitution was held in the rotunda of Matheson Courthouse today.

September 17th, the day it was originally signed, is declared as Constitution Day, but since it fell on Sunday this year it was observed today.

Judge Judith Billings says she hopes this day serves as a reminder of what a great country we live in.

Judge Judith Miller/Utah Court of Appeals: "I think sometimes people are so busy in their everyday lives that they do forget how fortunate we are to have such a strong democratic form of government."

Judge Miller would like to see Governor Huntsman institute a Utah Constitution Day as well.
