TOOELE — Police are asking for the public's help in finding 14-year-old Mia Richards, who was last seen Tuesday. As the search for the girl continued into the weekend, Tooele Police Lt. Jeremy Hansen said Friday they are becoming increasingly worried.
A missing and endangered advisory was issued Wednesday afternoon, saying the teen was last seen Tuesday afternoon.
Officials said the teen told family she was going with friends but she hasn't returned since.
The girl is described as white, about 5 feet, 2 inches tall and weighing about 135 pounds. She has hazel eyes and her hair is colored pink, blue and black.
She was last seen wearing a red long-sleeve crop top with black and red plaid leggings, Hansen said Friday.
The girl has several medical conditions that require medication to manage, officials said.
Authorities also noted she has recorded "several suicidal thoughts in her journal" in the days before her disappearance.
Family and friends have planned a search for the missing girl Saturday at 11:30 a.m. The group is meeting at 1519 Durocher Lane in Tooele.
Anyone with information on her whereabouts is asked to call Tooele police at 435-882-8900 or Tooele dispatch at 435-882-5600.
