TV LAND — Covers of TV theme songs are a dime a dozen, so you have to do something special to stand out.
Sometimes it’s all about rearranging the song and playing it in a surprising genre, sometimes it’s wearing costumes, and sometimes it’s doing a true re-enactment of the opening scenes.
This featured video, however, is something entirely different. It’s headbanging yet sweet and fun. And no, it’s not a heavy metal band made up of rosy-cheeked girls and boys. But come to think of it, there are rosy cheeks involved.
This video features a cockatiel doing what cockatiels do best, mimicking sounds and being a bird.
It’s not hard to imagine the music part of "The Addams Family Theme" coming from sweet cockatiel whistles, but it’s how it makes the "snaps" that makes this video a little more funny than cute.
Yes, this little tweeter turns this into a headbanging good time by literally whipping its head forward to bang his beak on the table. Which, of course, looks just like the best "dance moves" of any heavy metal lover or band member.
And yes, you will now have "The Addams Family Theme" stuck in your head all day. You’re welcome.
This video was posted on YouTube in 2016, but sometimes videos deserve a second life.
