BLUFFDALE — A driver was killed after hitting a utility pole on Redwood Road Tuesday afternoon, according to the Bluffdale police.

The driver of a white Ford pickup truck was northbound near 14400 South when they drifted to the right of the road and hit a metal utility pole, said Bluffdale police officer John Hill, who is part of the major accident team that responded to the crash.

The driver was ejected from the vehicle and died on scene.

Investigators are continuing to look into the cause of the crash. The driver was the only person in the vehicle and was the only one hurt in the accident.

Police have not yet released information about the driver, including their name and age.
