Robert Kropf, Resident: "My neighbor told me the couch was on fire. And I went outside and was gone, that's all there was to it."

Capt. Jay Torgersen, Unified Fire Authority: "This structure has two roofs. The fire has extended from the two apartments that were on fire up into the attic space. And so accessing the attic space where the fire has been actively burning has been difficult. They've had to cut Through two separate roofs." ยค

Because of the total destruction of two apartment units, firefighters estimate damages at about 100,000 dollars.

Fortunately, no one was hurt.
