(KSL News) A woman accused of deliberately running over her husband appeared at a pre-trial hearing today.
The Utah Supreme Court will examine the evidence in the case against Brenda White and determine how far the defense can go in its theory that White suffered from severe emotional distress.
White is accused of crashing her SUV into her husband's office building in April 2006, hitting him twice. One of his legs was broken, and an ankle was shattered.
The justices want to examine if there was any abuse in the relationship.
