(KSL News) A motorcycle and a car collided in South Jordan killing one person.

The accident happened near 11800 South and 4000 West around 11:30 a.m. Sheriff's deputies say the motorcyclist was headed east on 118th South. A car going the opposite direction turned left onto 40th West and hit the motorcycle.

Emergency crews performed CPR on the motorcyclist, but he died on scene. The driver of the car was not hurt.

The crash is under investigation.
