(KSL News) -- This could be the last weekend in the hospital for the formerly conjoined Herrin twins.
According to Primary Children's Medical Center, Kendra and Maliyah are "close to going home." Doctors say the girls could be discharged as early as today, but most likely Monday.
It's been more than five weeks since the all day surgery that separated the girls.
Family members say the girls still have a long road to recovery, but the homecoming is a big step.
A posting on the family website says the girls are excited to go home.
