(KSL News) -- Five women in Utah are among the first to join the US Ski Jumping team.
Brenna Ellis, Jessica Jerome, Alissa Johnson, Lindsey Van and Abby Hughes were placed on the team today. All five of them live and train here in Utah.
2006 marks the first year female jumpers have been a part of the national team. Before now, the women were on a club team.
The athletes say it gets them one step closer to the Olympics.
