Police say the robber approached the clerk last night at the Tesoro station near 900 East and 1300 South and asked for cigarettes. When the clerk handed them to him, he took off.

The clerk chased him out the door until he turned around and pointed a gun at the clerk.

He took off in a black Honda.

Police describe him as a white man with a gray goatee. He has a thin build and is about 39 to 45 years old.
