2:45 Fourth Quarter
Bingham 37, Skyline 15

Bingham Quarterback Jake Soffe just rushed 19 yards on a scramble to put this game on ice. I am heading down to the field for post game interviews. We will have highlights and post game interviews with Bingham posted on the website in just one hour. I hope you have enjoyed the blog. Thanks for bearing with me. This is the first time I have done this. If you have any suggestions on how we can make this better please leave a comment.

3:43 Fourth Quarter

On 4th and 1 at the 18 yard line the Miners go for it and a dive over the top by Harvey Langi barely gives Bingham a first down.

6:18 Fourth Quarter
Bingham 31, Skyline 15

Disaster for Skyline. On 3rd and 8 a Bingham sack forces a fumble and the Miners recover at midfield. Time is running out for the Eagles. A facemask penalty gives the Miners the ball at the 28 yard line with 5:22 to play.

6:25 Fourth Quarter
Bingham 31, Skyline 8

Skyline just completed a pass to their right tackle. Davey Weixler caught the tipped ball for a 2 yard gain. After a dropped pass its now 3rd and 8 for Skyline.

7:13 Fourth Quarter
Bingham 31, Skyline 15

A penalty has pushed Bingham back to their won 9 yard line. They now face a 2nd and 15 where Soffe missed a wide open receiver down the sideline who had beaten the defender one on one. On third and 15 the Miners fumble but are able to recover. Skyline now gets the ball back at the Bingham 36 yard line. With 7 minutes left Skyline can get back in the game with a score.

9:15 Fourth Quarter
Bingham 31, Skyline 15

On 3rd and 7 at the 7 yard line Skyline linebacker Zack Englert sacked Bingham Quarterback Jake Soffe and forced a fumble. The Eagles recovered the ball at the 9 yard line. On the next play Eagles Quarterback Kevin Wagstaff completes a pass to Casey Taylor for a 41 yard gain. Then on the next play Wagstaff drops back to pass and lets one fly and Jeff Daw makes the catch for a 52 yard touchdown. Skyline scores in just 18 seconds on two plays. They cling to life with 9 minutes left in the game.

Fourth Quarter

The Miners start the 4th quarter with a big play. Jake Soffe threw a 30 yard strike to Ryker Hall. Once again, Bingham is in the Red Zone.

:06 Third Quarter
Bingham 31, Skyline 8

The Bingham offense forces another three-and-out giving Skyline another opportunity to punt the ball. This time they get off a great punt from their 16 to the Bingham 41.

2:06 Third Quarter
Bingham 31, Skyline 8

The Miners just took advantage of a short field. Harvey Langi has his second score of the day on a two yard dive to make it 31-8 Bingham. More important for the Miners is the fact that they just burned 6 minutes off the clock.

6:38 Third Quarter
Bingham 24, Skyline 8

The punting game has really hurt Skyline. They have punted 4 times and are averaging around 15 yards per punt. They keep giving the Miners a short field and field position has been the difference in the game.

8:01 Third Quarter
Bingham 24, Skyline 8

After the Skyline offese musters just 7 yards on the drive they are forced to punt and launch another 13 yard punt. Bingham has the ball on the Eagles 44 yard line.

9:47 Third Quarter
Bingham 24, Skyline 8

Great start for the Skyline defense. After allowing a first down they force Bingham to punt on the first posession of the 2nd half. After almost blocking the punt, the Eagles start on their own 24 yard line.

11:40 Third Quarter
Bingham 24, Skyline 8

Bingham starts the 2nd half with a ten yard run by Langi to their own 31 yard line.

Halftime Second Quarter
Bingham 24, Skyline 8

Interesting First Half Stats: Leading Rushers Bingham-Harvey Langi 11 carries 114 yds 1 TD Skyline-Algernon Brown 9 carries 71 yds 1 TD Total Offense Bingham 186 yards Skyline 124 yards Leading Tacklers Bingham LT Filiaga 8 tackles Skyline Jeff Daw 7 tackles Despite the score, time of posession is almost even. Bingham had the ball for 12:04 while Skyline had it for 11:56. Turnovers and bad punting in their own territory has just killed the Eagles. But a solid second half has given them hope. For Bingham, they have to be happy with a 24-8 lead at the half. With the exception of two turnovers and some penalties the Miners have looked great.

Halftime Second Quarter
Bingham 24, Skyline 8

With 3 seconds left Skyline tries the hook-and-ladder but it doesn\'t get them far. That is the final play of the half. Halftime stats coming shortly.

:07 Second Quarter

The Miners just turned the ball over again. Caleb Latteier picked it off for the Eagles and returned it 34 yards into Bingham territory.

:38 Second Quarter
Bingham 24, Skyline 8

So much for that Skyline drive drive. Bingham Defensive Back Braden Anderson just made a great play to intercept a pass at the Miners 38 yard line. 38 seconds left for Bingham to get another score before the half.

1:17 Second Quarter
Bingham 24, Skyline 8

The Skyline defense has made another great play forcing a Bingham fumble at the 21 yard line. That could be a big play if the Eagles find a way to get back in this game. A score before the half would be huge since the Miners get the ball to start the second half. Bingham just got a sack at the Skyline 28 giving the Eagles a 2nd and 13.

2:44 Second Quarter
Bingham 24, Skyline 8

Wow! Another impressive 25 yard run by Harvey Langi. Just like that Bingham is back in the Red Zone.

4:55 Second Quarter
Bingham 24, Skyline 8

I spoke of Harvey Langi earlier in the blog and how impressive he is. Alge Brown is also a great back. BYU fans will be glad to hear that he is committed to BYU. He is the cousin of former BYU defensive lineman Manaia Brown.

4:55 Second Quarter
Bingham 24, Skyline 8

Brown just finished off the drive with a short touchdown run completing a 78 yard drive. Brown just caught a pass for the two point conversion to give the Eagles some life in this game.

5:39 First Quarter

Algernon Brown gets another big play. He gets a block on the edge and gets into the Miners secondary then throws a nice stiff arm to get a few more yards before he is taken down at the 11 yard line. Good for a 37 yard gain. Skyline is in the Red Zone for the first time and threatening to score.

7:10 Second Quarter
Bingham 24, Skyline 0

Skyline running back Algernon Brown picks up another first down for the Eagles. As I write this he picks up another one on a 15 yard run and for the first time today the Skyline offense has crossed the 50 yard line.

The Skyline defense comes up with a big play. Tenny Palepoi sacked Jake Soffe to end the Miners drive.

3:11 First Quarter
Bingham 17, Skyline 0

Skyline has fumbled another option pitch deep in their own territory. Luckily for them they recovered but another three-and-out for the Eagles. After another punt Bingham once again has the ball in Eagles territory.

4:33 First Quarter
Bingham 17, Skyline 0

Two plays later, the Miners make them pay. Jake Soffe threw a beautiful pass to a wide open Mike Edmunds for a 26 yard touchdown. The route is on.

4:43 First Quarter

Skyline gambled with 5:16 Left in the quarter. With 4th and 1 on their own 28 yard line they went for it and were stopped by the Miners defense. Bingham takes over on downs.

7:06 First Quarter
Bingham 10, Skyline 0

On 2nd and 7 Harvey Langi found a big hole created by the offensive line and ran untouched for a 41 yard touchdown. Langi is only a sophomore but he looks more like Harvey Unga out there. This super soph could be one the most highly recruited high school athletes in Utah history. He already has offers from BYU and Utah.

7:51 First Quarter
Bingham 3, Skyline 0

The Miners defense just came up big preventing the Eagles from getting a first down. A bad punt has given Bingham the ball on the Skyline 44 yard line.

Bingham 0, Skyline 0

Skyline has just fumbled the option pitch on the first play of the game. Remington Peck recovered for Bingham and they have the ball on the Skyline 18 yard line.

12:00 First Quarter
Bingham 0, Skyline 0

We are just about to get underway here at Rice-Eccles Stadium. This is a rematch from week one that saw Skyline upset Bingham. Since an 0-2 start the Miners have been dominant. They have won 10 straight games and have won their last six by more than 27 points. I\'m sure Bingham hasn\'t forgotten that week one loss and will have plenty of extra motivation this afternoon. But you can\'t count out a team coached by the legendary Roger Dupaix. They shocked everyone by making a cinderella run to the title in 2005. Skyline will receive to start the ball game.
