Robert Taylor, 21, was arrested after police say he used a BB gun that looked like a real gun to rob a teenager of his fast-food restaurant paycheck.
On Oct. 19, officers responded to a reported armed robbery at 100 E. State St. in Lehi. Police say the suspect pointed the gun at the teen's face and demanded money. All the teen had was a cell phone and his $40 KFC paycheck, which he handed over.

Police investigated but had little to go on until last week. That's when the victim was driving in a car with his family and recognized the robber. Someone in the car knew who the man was, which gave police something to follow. It led to the arrest of Taylor.

Taylor denied being involved, but a search of the home revealed an Airsoft handgun. Lehi police Officer David Boss said, "It was an Airsoft gun resembling a Beretta." He added, "It doesn't matter what kind of gun it was, his intentions were the same."
He was booked in jail on first-degree felony aggravated robbery and theft charges.
Police do not believe Taylor was successful in cashing the victim's paycheck.
With felony charges of armed robbery, Taylor's bail has been set at $50,000, and he is still in jail tonight.
