(KSL News) Cottonwood Heights police arrested two men early this morning for allegedly throwing rocks and bricks into vehicle windows.

Police say the two drove around throwing the rocks and bricks beginning about 2 a.m. At 3:30, a man waiting in his truck for someone outside of a house saw the two throwing a rock at his truck. He chased the suspects long enough to get their description and license plate number, then he called police.

Police say the suspects sped through neighborhoods and hit a couple of parked cars and fences.

Draper police pulled over the suspects on a traffic-related offense, and they were taken into custody for the incidents in Cottonwood Heights.

Police estimate damage may be in the tens of thousands of dollars. They also believe the suspects may be connected to previous vandalism in Salt Lake County.
