(KSL News) -- Salt Lake City Mayor Rocky Anderson is asking for more money to renovate Pioneer Park.
In May, Anderson asked the City Council for 400-thousand dollars, but members said that was too much. Now Anderson is asking for 900-thousand dollars to pay for the second stage of his plan to give the park a face lift.
In a letter to council members, Anderson said the city had been denied a 900-thousand dollar federal grant he had hoped would help finance the park enhancements.
The council is scheduled to discuss the proposal, tomorrow.
