OGDEN — An Ogden man who police say attempted to stab another man multiple times but failed, has still been charged with attempted murder.

Ronnie Lee Grissom, 31, was charged in 2nd District Court Thursday with the first-degree felony, in addition to possession of a weapon by a restricted person, a third-degree felony.

On Wednesday, Ogden police responded to the area of 618 E. 21st Street where a man reported Grissom attempted to stab him. The victim reported that he and Grissom were engaged in a fistfight when Grissom pulled out a knife and made 10 to 15 attempts to stab him, the charging documents state.

“The victim did not sustain any stab wounds, but did sustain scratches to his upper torso. The victim reported Ronnie also made death threats toward the victim during the assault,” according to the charges.

Officers were able to find video of the incident that shows Grissom “charging at, and attempting to stab the victim,” the charges say.
