JURY BACK FOR 2ND DAY OF DELIBERATIONS IN WEINSTEIN TRIAL
NEW YORK (AP) — Jurors are now in their second day of deliberations in a rape trial that could send Harvey Weinstein to prison for the rest of his life. The panel of seven men and five women had lots of questions Tuesday as they started weighing charges in the closely watched #MeToo case. The 67-year-old Weinstein is charged with rape and sexual abuse in two separate incidents. Weinstein's lawyers contend the acts were consensual. The jury has asked multiple questions since getting the case Tuesday. Jurors asked a question Wednesday about Miriam Haleyi’s allegations and asked to examine emails in evidence between her and Weinstein.

SEOUL, South Korea (AP) — “Parasite” director Bong Joon-ho says the biggest pleasure the film brought to him is its success despite his explicit portrayal of wealth disparity in modern society. Bong noted the film was commercially successful before it was awarded four Oscars at the Academy Awards this month. He told reporters after returning to South Korea that he didn’t want to avoid the “bitter, painful natures” of income disparity. “Parasite” is the first foreign-language film to win best picture and Bong was named best director. Bong also said he was discussing making a TV adaptation of “Parasite.”
