THE HOME THEATER — Recording a toddler’s reaction to movies is not something that would have ever passed my mind, but by golly, I’m glad this video exists.

This kid just watched Aladdin, and it’s as cute as you’d imagine. Here’s that Monday motivation you were searching for. Warning: an infectious smile will likely cross your face.

Also, spoiler alert for Aladdin (duh.)

There are many things to love about his voiceover.

First, let’s appreciate how excited this tyke is to share the movie with his daddy. It doesn’t matter that he’s likely right there beside him, it matters that he sees the boat (gasp!) and they discusses it. There’s questions to be had about this boat!

Second, let’s appreciate his enthusiastic repetition. Everything is not just worth commenting on, it’s worth commenting on! Also, in case you missed it, he wants you to know about the lava.

Finally, the gasps. My personal favorite. This kid is so genuinely invested in this movie that his surprise and hype is palpable, and those little gasps prove it! It’s like watching someone win the lottery, and it’s hard not to be endeared.

This kid’s detailed analysis and dedication to this movie lad me to believe he’s got a bright future as a film critic. And until then, I’m sure he’ll keep watching new things with his dad.
