Police searching for man in connection with Salt Lake City stabbing

SALT LAKE CITY — Police are searching for a man in connection with a stabbing that occurred late Sunday night that left another man with serious injuries.

The stabbing took place about 11 p.m. Sunday near 200 W. 200 North, according to Salt Lake City police Sgt. Steve Wooldridge.

A man suffered serious injuries and was taken to a hospital. A witness saw another man who is believed to be involved in the stabbing, Wooldridge said. He was described as a man in his 20s about 6-feet tall with short, dark hair and wearing a gold necklace, dark shirt and khaki pants, according to police.

The investigation is ongoing and police were still looking for the man as of 8 a.m., police said.
