SALT LAKE CITY — Drivers are being warned of 20-minute delays — or longer — on northbound I-15 in the Salt Lake area Sunday, due to repairs that will be made to damaged freeway pavement.
According to Utah Department of Transportation officials, northbound I-15 will be reduced to two lanes near 1100 South beginning at 6 a.m. Sunday. The freeway is expected to remain at two lanes in the area until 5 p.m. while crews work on repairing the freeway pavement.
In addition, a southbound I-15 on-ramp located at 4500 South will be closed at 9 p.m. Saturday through 9 a.m. Sunday while crews replace a section of concrete pavement on the ramp, officials added.
UDOT officials suggested drivers take an on-ramp at 5300 South to enter the freeway while the 4500 South on-ramp is closed.
