SALT LAKE CITY — Election Day is here, and many Utahns headed to the polls Tuesday in their final chance to weigh in on mayorships and city council seats throughout the region.

Preliminary results show Councilwoman Erin Mendenhall leading the Salt Lake City mayor's race, against state Sen. Luz Escamilla. Mendenhall ended the night nearly 6,000 votes ahead of Escamilla.

Check the unofficial election results of most major elections along the Wasatch Front below. Tonight's results are preliminary and final counts will be released by county clerks in the coming days and weeks.
