SALT LAKE CITY — A security guard was shot in the backside early Sunday morning after an argument with three men, police said.

The shooting occurred about 4:30 a.m. at a building in the area of 740 S. 300 West, said Salt Lake Police Lt. Andy Leonard.

Leonard said they got into a fight and shot him in the rear. “He drove himself, or had a friend drive him, to the hospital,” Leonard said.

He was in good condition as of Sunday afternoon, according to the lieutenant.

The men who got into the argument with the security guard had not been identified as of Sunday afternoon. Police had limited suspect information, Leonard said.
