TREMONTON — One person was killed Friday when a car drove into the back of a semitrailer on I-15.

The crash happened about 12:10 p.m. near Tremonton, according to the Utah Highway Patrol. Another person was critically injured in the crash.

It wasn’t the only crash on I-15 in northern Utah on Friday. About two miles away, a car was rear-ended by a semitrailer and pushed into another semitrailer in front of the car.

That crash resulted in injuries not believed to be life-threatening, according to UHP Lt. Lee Perry.

There were also three crashes near the Willard Bay State Park on Friday morning, Perry said. Late Friday afternoon, he was en route to three more crashes near the Idaho border: one resulting in minor injuries, one resulting in property damage, and one rollover.
