GOLD HILL, Tooele County — A wildfire destroyed two Gold Hill homes and one outbuilding Thursday, according to authorities.
The fire, which was contained Thursday evening, started as a woodland vegetation fire before burning the houses, Bucky Whitehouse, Tooele County Emergency Manager said.
American Red Cross representatives were en route to help those displaced by the 5-acre fire, Whitehouse said.
Tooele County Fire District, Wendover Fire Department, Utah Division of Forestry, Fire and State Lands, and Bureau of Land Management responded to the incident, Whitehouse said.
No one was injured in the incident, Whitehouse said.
