ERDA, Tooele County — Authorities are asking for the public’s help in identifying multiple people who police say broke into a car dealership two separate times and stole two vehicles, keys and customer files.
On Sunday, the individuals drove to the Bargain Buggys, 426 E. Cimmarron Way, in a stolen vehicle and then stole a white 2015 Chevrolet Silverado pickup truck followed by a black 2019 Ford Escape, as well as other things, including customer files, according to Tooele County sheriff’s detective David Bleazard.
In each case, the vehicles were followed by an accomplice driving a gray Dodge Caliber, he added.
The sheriff’s office released a few images from a surveillance camera. They believe one of the individuals is a white or a light-skinned Hispanic male with “multiple tattoos on his body,” including both calves. He is seen wearing dark shorts and a gray hoodie in one video and is apparently wearing a wig in another, according to Bleazard. No description was given about others involved in the burglaries.
Anyone with any information about the case is encouraged to call Bleazard at 435-277-4206 or Tooele County Sheriff’s Sgt. Norberto Aranda at 435-277-4254.
