MIDVALE — A man is in critical condition after an RV-style trailer fell on him while he was changing a tire, police say.
The incident was first reported about 12:34 p.m. Tuesday near the InTown Suites, 151 W. 7200 South, according to Unified Police Sgt. Melody Gray.
The man, 55, was changing a tire on the trailer outside the building when the trailer fell on him, according to Gray.
The man, whose name was not released, is staying at the hotel and is a transient, Gray said.
When police arrived, the man was breathing but not conscious and was not trapped under the trailer, Gray said.
A woman on site told police she lifted the trailer off the man and wasn’t sure how she got the strength, according to Gray. The man was sent to the hospital in critical condition.
