THE PIANO — Sometimes things are face-meltingly awesome, and sometimes they are so cute they melt your heart. Every now and again we get the rare gem that both melts our faces with awesomeness and our hearts with cuteness.
This video is one of those gems.
This is Avett Ray. He is 6 years old and according to the YouTube description, he is blind and visually impaired. But that doesn't define Avett because he's so much more. He's a musician, a performer and apparently, a Queen fan.
This video shows Avett playing the quintessential Queen hit "Bohemian Rhapsody" in its entirety on the piano and singing his little heart out. The kid's voice isn't too bad and he can tickle those ivories. His determination to get it right and fix his mistakes is inspiring and his chubby little hands are just too adorable.
Avett has the confidence and fearlessness I only wish I had. My guess is this won't be the last time we hear of him.
According to the description on his YouTube page, he is a musician and a singer and that playing music is his favorite thing.
Well, you playing music is now my favorite thing, Avett.
Thank you for sharing your talents, and if I were a betting man, I'd put my money on the fact that Freddie Mercury himself would love this cover of his iconic song if he were here to enjoy it. Keep playing Avett because we'll keep listening.
