SALT LAKE CITY — LDS Hospital was placed on lockdown Friday afternoon as police looked for a suspicious person in the area, officials reported.
Salt Lake police dispatch confirmed that they were looking for a "suspicious person with a gun" in the neighborhood of 8th Avenue and C Street in Salt Lake City.
According to Jess Gomez, media relations director for Intermountain Healthcare Hospitals, the hospital was put on lockdown as a precaution after a visitor became disruptive and made threats.
Police came in contact with the reported individual and talked to them about the incident. Salt Lake police reported that no individuals were injured and no weapons were seen.
The lockdown has been lifted and the hospital has returned to its normal operations, Gomez reported.
