1. Death toll rises in California wildfire, matching deadliest

As relatives desperately searched shelters for missing loved ones on Sunday, crews searching the smoking ruins of Paradise and outlying areas found six more bodies, raising the death toll to 29, matching the deadliest wildfire in California history.

2. More Utah firefighters head to California to help fight state's worst wildfires since 1991

Dozens of firefighters from agencies across Utah departed for California to help fight the state's worst wildfires since 1991. For some of the firefighters, this will be the second year in a row they will be apart from family at Thanksgiving to help fight fires in California.

3. Officials: 2 killed, 1 hospitalized after industrial accident

Two men were electrocuted and one was found unconscious Saturday afternoon after an industrial accident at the Intrepid Potash Mine near Moab.

4. 2 killed in separate Utah police shootings identified

Investigators on Saturday released the identities of two men shot and killed by police Friday in separate incidents. Salt Lake police identified the first as 30-year-old Cody Paris Belgard and Ogden police identified the second man as Christopher William Parrish, 33.

1. Real Salt Lake's rally at Sporting KC comes up short in 4-2 loss in West semifinals

Daniel Salloi scored a goal in both halves, Ilie Sanchez added the decisive penalty kick, and Felipe Gutierrez notched two assists to help Sporting Kansas City to a 4-2 win over rival Real Salt Lake in the second leg of the Western Conference semifinals Sunday at Children’s Mercy Park.

2. Shelley, Shyne help Utah football hold on for 32-25 win over Oregon

Consider Jason Shelley's first test passed.

The new starting Utah quarterback completed 18-of-31 passes for 262 yards, and ran for two scores in Utah's 32-25 win over the visiting Oregon Ducks Saturday.

3. BYU overcomes slow start to down UMass, snap 2-game losing skid

Zach Wilson completed 14-of-22 passes for 167 yards and two touchdowns, and Aleva Hifo added two rushing touchdowns to help the Cougars snap a two-game losing skid with a 35-16 win at UMass.

4. No. 14 Utah State beats SJSU 62-24 for 9th straight win

The 14th-ranked Aggies totaled 804 yards of offense and 33 first downs on their way to a 62-24 win over San Jose State on Saturday. They broke a school record for yardage and became just the 17th team in NCAA history to gain at least 800 total yards in a game.

5. Gordon Hayward isn't missed, but he isn't forgotten

Gordon Hayward stepped to the free-throw line in the closing minutes of Utah’s 123-115 win over Boston Friday, and a chant broke out.

“We don’t miss you,” the Jazz fans yelled. “We don’t miss you.”

It was a game that was more important to the Utah fans than the Utah players. And that was felt long before anyone had even got to Vivint Arena.
