HANNA, Duchesne County — Three people have died Thursday following a motorcycle crash on state Route 35, officials said.

The crash took place about 10:30 a.m. near milepost 31, about 5 miles west of Hanna, Utah Department of Public Safety officials said on Twitter.

Three motorcycles were involved in the crash and four people were injured, officials said. Three adults died, and one other person was in extremely critical condition, according to Utah Highway Patrol Lt. Todd Royce.

One person was in extremely critical condition immediately following the crash, but later died, DPS officials said on Twitter.

The bikers were riding north on S.R. 35 in a large group when one bike went down, striking two other bikes, Royce said. Three male riders were involved in the crash, as well as one female passenger, officials said.

No other details about the crash were immediately released, and the names of the victims were not released, pending family notification.

S.R. 35 was closed after the crash bud had reopened as of 3:30 p.m., officials said.
