CLINTON — Six people were injured in a three-vehicle crash Sunday evening, officials report.
The crash occurred about 7:30 p.m. at the intersection of 1800 North and 2000 West, according to Clinton Police Sgt. Richard Murdock.
Witnesses told police that a vehicle traveling west on 1800 North ran a red light and struck a northbound pickup truck that was traveling through the intersection, Murdock said. The crash caused the truck to roll multiple times.
The westbound car also collided with a black SUV that was traveling south through the intersection.
Of the six injured, two were transported to a nearby hospital in critical condition while four were transported with minor injures. None of the injuries appeared to be life-threatening, Murdock said.
Davis County dispatch had originally said five people were injured and were in critical condition.
Southbound traffic on 1800 North at 2000 West was temporarily closed while officials worked to clear the scene but the road was reopen by 8:45 p.m.
The investigation into the crash is ongoing.
Anyone who may have witnessed the crash is asked to contact the Clinton Police Department with any information.
