OGDEN — A motorcyclist has died after being hit by another vehicle on Washington Boulevard at 12th Street, police say.

The accident happened just after 4:30 p.m. The motorcycle was southbound on Washington Boulevard when it was hit by another vehicle, police said.

The force of the collision caused the bike to lay down, and its female driver was thrown into traffic and hit by another vehicle, the police department tweeted. The woman did not survive.

Police have not yet released woman's name.

Southbound lanes of Washington Boulevard were temporarily closed between 12th Sreet and 13th Street. The road was later reopened.
