Officials arrest man wanted in connection with Fort Duchesne shooting

FORT DUCHESNE, Uintah County — A man wanted in connection with a shooting in Fort Duchesne was arrested at a home in Vernal Thursday morning, officials said.

Bradley James Moore, 32, of South Dakota, barricaded himself in the home for 90 minutes before he surrendered to the U.S. Marshals Violent Fugitive Apprehension Strike Team, according to FBI spokeswoman Sandra Yi Barker.

Moore was allegedly involved in the shooting of a 22-year-old man in a Fort Duchesne home May 6, the FBI Salt Lake City said in a tweet.

The cause of the shooting is still unknown. The victim was transported via medical helicopter to a local hospital but has since been released.
