1. Motorcycle rider dies after hitting debris on Bangerter Highway
Craig Schmidt, 33, was killed Saturday night when he lost control of the motorcycle he was driving on Bangerter Highway after apparently hitting a pallet believed to have fallen from another vehicle, West Jordan police said.
2. Officials: 1 dead, 8 injured after early morning Saratoga Springs crash
One woman died and eight others were injured in a two-car crash early Sunday morning near the intersection of Pioneer Crossing and Redwood Road, according to Saratoga Springs City Spokesman David Johnson.
3. Paris stabbings investigated as terror attack, claimed by IS
A knife-wielding assailant killed a 29-year-old man and injured four othersin a lively neighborhood near Paris' famed Opera Garnier before he was killed by police Saturday night. The Islamic State group claimed the attacker as one of its "soldiers."
4. Disabled veteran says he’s being wrongfully evicted from Murray apartment
Paul Lloyd, an honorably discharged disabled U.S. Army veteran, was left scratching his head after he received an eviction notice from Hunters Wood Apartments.
After joining the Army in 2006 Lloyd endured a violent and traumatic attack. Because of the attack, he was honorably discharged in 2008 and diagnosed with PTSD, he has been on permanent disability and receiving benefits ever since.
5. LDS Church: Legal analysis 'raises grave concerns' about Utah medical marijuana initiative
The LDS Church on Friday released a legal analysis it commissioned of a proposed Utah medical marijuana initiative, saying the report "raises grave concerns" over "the serious adverse consequences that could follow if it were adopted."

3. Late spurt leads Utah Warriors to first regular-season win, 41-22 over Austin
Maika Hafoka and Ben Nicholls scored back-to-back tries in the final 10 minutes to help the Warriors pull away from Austin and earn their first win in Major League Rugby play, 41-22 in front of an announced crowd of 4,078 fans Friday night at Zions Bank Stadium.
4. Desert Hills wins first soccer title in school history with 4-0 win over Park City in 4A final
Walker Heaton scored two goals and an assist, and Kelton Holt scored twice to lead the Thunder to their first soccer title in school history with a 4-0 win over Park City in the 4A title match Saturday at Zions Bank Stadium.
5. Bulldogs outlast Trojans for 3A state title in double OT thriller, 1-0
Judge Memorial captured the 3A state championship after a double overtime marathon against the Morgan High School Trojans, 1-0. The lone goal of the nearly 98-minute defensive struggle came as junior Joe Paul was set up by fellow junior Cameron Lundy.
